Tombo brush pens on drawing paper. Approx. 9” X 12”
This is a drawing technique where there’s only one rule; to draw the first thing that comes into my head, and to continue to draw whatever shapes, images and thoughts that manifest.
This drawing shows how the things we idolize and glorify may one day inundate and wipe us out.

This design was for a client’s band flyer. The drummer and double bassist are inspired by two claymation characters from a Nina Simone video, as requested by the client, but the guitarist came out of my own imagination. Simple black and white graphics paired with a single color create a playful scene.

Tho appearing detailed it’s loose and impressionistic, with a feeling of bright sunlight.

My Dad was in constant ill health for a couple of years before he passed on, and he had several instances where he had to be admitted to the hospital.
One time I thought he might not make it through, and I sketched him while he was sleeping in the hospital, thinking it may be the last time I’d see him alive.
The frailness of life…
